The manufacturer should specify, via the design drawings, the fixtures requiring frame support. The manufacturer detailer can then provide suitable nogging systems to support the fixtures.
Communication with the builder/fabricator on known plumbing nogging requirements during frame detailing and design stage can be beneficial.
